We are committed to keeping our school community informed about important legislation impacting student safety. Recently, SB 73 (KRS 531.125) was enacted, which addresses the distribution and possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor. This law is designed to help protect students and ensure responsible use of technology and media.
Tomorrow 4th and 5th grade students will be bringing home a student letter in a sealed envelope regarding this law. We ask that you take time to review the information together as a family. It is important that both parents and students understand the expectations outlined in this legislation and where to turn for support if your child becomes a victim to sextortion.
Thank you for your support in promoting a safe and positive learning environment for all students. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please feel free to reach out to our office or email eric.blankenship@boone.kyschools.us
Sincerely,
Eric Blankenship

We are excited to get the students back in the building tomorrow.
A few reminders we have new car rider instructions. Please watch this video. https://youtu.be/mUTzasoQvw4?si=UpwUC78tXsYf1RSZ
Also please have all students wear student ID badges from last year if you have them.
Even with school ID. Please ensure that EVERY kid has their Name, Grade, Homeroom Teacher, and Bus # (or car rider) clearly posed on their backpack.
If you are having any issues with the Boone County Schools App you can email teachers or call the office (859)334-4460
Please be patient the first days of school with arrival and dismissal because our 100% focus is safely getting every student in school and home. The process will take longer the first week and will slowly get smoother as we go.
It is going t be a GREAT year!

Please consider arriving at any time 4, 4:30, 5, 5:30, 6, or 6:30.
The whole event will take less than an hour for your family.
